Heather Mullen is a corporate affairs executive with extensive policy, communications and government affairs experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, the federal government and private healthcare consulting. Communicator, collaborator and catalyst, Heather is called upon to develop and implement communications campaigns to help shape and protect the increasingly challenging policy environment for clients.
Heather’s work has focused on advancing policies that protect biopharmaceutical brands, preserve the integrity of government programs and advance initiatives that improve overall health. She’s led successful public affairs and government relations campaigns to restore Medicaid coverage and reimbursement for a blockbuster medicine; defeat drug importation legislation; create stakeholder acceptance and minimize risk for the launch of a new pain medicine; advance legislation to protect the health of patients who experience life-threatening allergic reactions; and adopt legislation to permit the inclusion of destination country labeling on animal health medicines.
Prior to consulting, Heather spent 13 years in the biopharmaceutical industry. She has held in-house roles at Amgen, Inc., Pfizer, Inc., and the Department of Health and Human Services in the Office of Inspector General (HHS/OIG).
