Dr. Aerial Ellis is a gifted strategist, storyteller, author, and sought-after speaker who is recognized for her ability to transform culture, improve diversity, enhance communication, navigate change, build community and drive innovation.
Dr. Ellis leads strategic planning, communication, and education in the space of diversity, equity, & inclusion. Her work has been enlisted by AIG, Asurion, Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), LEARFIELD, Microsoft, Pepperdine University, National Urban League, Starbucks, and US Army Corps of Engineers, among others. Prior, she founded and managed two PR agencies where she led teams that developed award-winning client campaigns in media relations, social media, and brand development.
Dr. Ellis is an Endowed Chair/Distinguished Professor at North Carolina Central University and President of the Board of Trustees for the PRSA Foundation, and a board member of the Diversity Action Alliance, and the Commission for Public Relations Education.
She has been awarded the Nashville Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 and the Women of Influence “Trailblazer” award and was named Nashville’s Top 30 Under 30. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and an active supporter of community efforts involving civic engagement, social justice and HBCUs.
